The residential buildings are directly adjacent to the busy Mittlerer Ring. The starting point for the development was increased noise protection for the adjoining residential area from the 1950s. The challenge was, on the one hand, to meet the requirements of noise protection and, on the other hand, to offer quiet and high-quality living.
The architecture can do this and also presents a new, memorable image in the congested urban space. Drivers who emerge from the tunnel at this point and pedestrians who are approaching from the subway or from the surrounding area will notice the sweep of the development and the special architectural shape. The façade is layered on the front side: individual façade elements are placed next to one another like in a shed dress. The various elements were designed in yellow and green tones.
