To harmoniously blend the clients’ modern lifestyle with the inherent lightness of this East Amsterdam apartment, the renovation employs a refined palette of warm, understated materials. The result is a welcoming family home that thoughtfully reflects the designer’s attention to detail.
This design project called for an extension into the backyard to accommodate a new kitchen area with a garden view, transforming the previously open space shared by the living room and kitchen into two distinct seating areas. Additionally, it involved a refresh of the bedrooms and the creation of a dedicated home office space. In collaboration with the client, we selected a fundamental color and material palette, prominently featuring natural wood while incorporating varied color accents to distinguish and enliven each space uniquely.
